Carlos.. I've got Vuescan and the Silverfast software - Vuescan seems to be able to fine tune the scans a bit better than Silverfast can. Vuescan does take a wee bit longer to get things rolling with the scanner but it's not a big deal. I too have a dedicated Minolta 35mm film scanner (Scan Elite II) and it seems to do just fine with Vuescan as well. Silverfast does a decent job with most items, including my color MF negs but it sometimes messes up the B&W negs by making them too "hot".

Mine came without Silverfast, it only has the original Epson software, but Vuescan offers more possibilities than the Epson Twain driver. I have used Vuescan with my Minolta scanner, and I am starting to learn how to fine tune it to exploit the Epson 2450 features. So far, I have scanned some 6x6 and 6x7 slides and the results are really nice, although I already knew that my computer will need more RAM to manage the big TIFF files generated when scanning MF slides. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Carlos Royo [EMAIL PROTECTED] Zaragoza (Aragon) - Spain ------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------------------------------------------- mail2web - Check your email from the web at http://mail2web.com/ .
