Hello,
Here is my advise, freq don't make resolution, the type of tube does it.
Look at the dot pitch, take the Viewable area, calcultate how many dot /
dimention
you will very fast notice that max resolution for the 109S is about
1600x1200
calculate it for "any" monitor and you will soon discover the scam of
marketing.
All trinitron are very GOOD for color representation here are the point
+ no max vertical resolution
+ linear pixels
- Sensitive to lateral shock / magnetism
- 1 or 2 very small black line
hole is shadow mask type (almost every other)
+Less problem with orientation and other shock/ magnetism phenomena
+generally cheaper
-shadow mask steals a lot of brightness and contrast
-pixels can be uneven
Flat
+Better on eyes
-Divergence in corner harder to corect
Cylindrical
+Good color convergence in corners
Spherical
+ Harder on eyes
Try to get the BNC connection 5 coax vs cheapo DSUB
Good brands I like:
Hitachi
Philips
stay away from the bottom gamme of all brands even those 2. pay the 30%
extra to get a good quality, it's your eyes anyway, not mine.
