Since I now know what open aperture metering means (hey, the class I am taking is 
actually teaching me things!), I am able to ask a question. 

Why do screw mount lenses not do open aperture metering? Are you saying that screw 
mount lenses actually stop the aperture down/up when you turn the ring BEFORE the 
picture is taken? Or is it something else?

Just curious.
