I never said the single coated is a half stop faster. I`m just going by whatAbout the single coated lens, it was Paul's comment. Sorry for the confusion, Steve. From what you tell me, your test is indeed credible. Vivitar could be more apart than what the numbers say (1/4 of a stop).
I saw, both cameras pointed at the same subject, standing side by side. You are correct that it could be meter fluctuations, I know my meter is dead on,
and I bet Shel`s was too. My 135/2.3 was a K mount multi coated version.
