Personally, I love this lens as an indoor portrait lens. The lack of SMC makes me worry about flare so I only use it with diffused natural light indoors (sunlight through windows) or with flash. I like the results I get. I don't do lens tests, instead I make photographs and I'm pleased with this lens. Some people say it is not sharp. This can sometimes be a good thing for a portrait lens. For US$25 I am getting my monies worth! And you gotta love the color coded f-stop numbers! Christian
