Personally, I love this lens as an indoor portrait lens.  The lack of SMC 
makes me worry about flare so I only use it with diffused natural light 
indoors (sunlight through windows) or with flash.   I like the results I get.

I don't do lens tests, instead I make photographs and I'm pleased with this 
lens.  Some people say it is not sharp.  This can sometimes be a good thing 
for a portrait lens.

For US$25 I am getting my monies worth!  And you gotta love the color coded 
f-stop numbers!
