You know, that's true. I suspect that the A 135/2.8 has better flare control (as an SMC lens), but I haven't actually tested the A 135/2.8 and the Takumar Bayonet 135/"2.5" side-by-side. Interestingly (well, to me, anyway - <g>), I used to own an A 135/2.8, but I sold it several years ago. In contrast, though, I still have a Takumar Bayonet, even though I have a K 135/2.5 (which is a better lens overall), and several other 135's (f/3.5, f/2.3, and f/1.8). I guess that I still have the Takumar Bayonet 135 because it's a "novelty" of sorts, and maybe also because it would probably bring me only a few dollars in a sale (and it would be too few dollars to buy any other lens - <g>). But, it's really not ~that~ bad a lens... ;-) Fred
