Tell you what, I have found this very common on FA lenses. I had 2 A50/1.4 before and both had perfect aperture shape. I played around the aperture mechanism on different lenses many years ago and the shape was very sensative to how you calibrated it, could also be difficult too (I admit I didn't know the proper way). I don't think it will actually cause trouble practically, just plain annoying. While cleaning my A 50/1.4 I noticed something odd about the aperture blades: At f2.0, half of them seem to be way out of alignment. Take a look here<http://www.sherb.org/blades/index.html> Let me know what you think. Would this cause strange bokeh?

Alan Chan
