Actually, the idea that all condenser enlargers "hot spot" amounts to an old
wives' tale. Certainly, some do. But there is nothing inherent in the
technology that predicts that any particular condenser system will hot spot
or will do "poorly in the corners." Some may; but not all.

In fact, the most even light source we ever measured was a Durst L1200
condenser enlarger. It beat even the dichroic-style heads, which is saying
something.
