I think the new canvas defaults to 72 dpi.  You have to change that to the
same dpi as the photos, and all the photos have to be the same dpi as the
canvas.  Since my 1270 printer will print 8x10 on 8.5x11 paper, my "print
canvas" is 8x10 at 300 dpi.  The only downside is having to scale the photos
to 300 dpi, but I've found that not to be a problem.
