Hi, Weird problem. My sister and I sell photographs on eBay as well as from our site. A bit of pocket money, is all it is.
We have a photo of a vintage Italian Gaggia Espresso Maker which has been a good seller for us. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2211&item=2500822359 The scan isn't great, but the print is actually kind of nice. Our pictures start at about $16US for matted 5x7's, and normally, we never get more than one bid for each sale. Today, our Gaggia is up to $36US, and the bidder is from Italy. I have the feeling that he thinks he's getting the machine. I don't want this guy to think he's getting screwed, and I'd like to let him know prior to the auction close that it's a photo he's getting, so he can retract his bid if he wants to. Could anyone on the list translate "This is not the actual machine, but a photograph of one", or words to that effect? In addition, I anticipate that I may need some translation of ensuing e-mails. Feel free to contact me off-list if you can help. thanks, frank -- "The optimist thinks this is the best of all possible worlds. The pessimist fears it is true." -J. Robert Oppenheimer
