Thats because the original example was far fetched. Very few grandmothers shoot 80 rolls a year. Hardly any grandmothers who are happy with their 4X6 prints are probably going to stay with their old P&S. Nobody has denied that digital may make economical sense, but the argument being thrown around are one sided hype. ...and BTW Nobody cares what grandmothers do; certainly not camera manufacturers.
