I know very little about fungus cleaning or its cost, but I would say that
it sounds a little high to me. At the same time, the SMC-T 85/1.8 is a
relatively expensive lens and has quite a good repuation. As a love of
old screw mount stuff, I'd hate to see it go unrepaired. There's few
enough lenses as it is, and it makes sense to preserve the ones we still
have. If the general list consensus is that it's too much money, consider
getting another estimate somewhere else. OTOH, they usually sell for more
than $120, so if it was just given to you, it's still not a bad price.
