I'd get a used SMC A* 300/2.8 :-) It's slightly more expensive than the Tamron, but I think it's a bit better optically and the adaptall mount on such a heavy lens is a little too wobbly (at least that is how I felt when I first bought the Tamron and then took it back and bought the Pentax instead).
