After a well paid photo shoot I can now purchase a faster lens in the
200-300mm range. i already have the FA 300mm 4.5 and love it but at times
need something a little faster so a 300mm 2.8 would be great. Having said
that on a Dslr a 200mm with 1.5x sensor will be 300mm so does the 200mm 2.8
pentax FA become an option. Or do i get the tamron 300mm 2.8 adaptall lens?
Which is the better lens optically. That point aside as i have the tamron
80-200mm 2.8 would getting the fa 200mm be doubling up. Would there be any
real improvement in image quality? Speaking of tamrons any one tried the
400mm f4 i have heard is a ripper. Now on a dslr it would be a 600mm f4
which is pretty good for bird photography however i already have a sigma
400mm 5.6 apo macro so again is the extra stop worth it?.
so really this is what i am asking
as i have the following
tamron 80-200mm 2.8 adaptall
pentax fa 300mm 4.5
sigma 400mm 5.6 macro
Would there be any benifit replacing them with or adding
a tamron 300mm 2.8 or pentax 200mm fa 2.8 or 400mm f4.
