I too work in a newsroom full of Macs and it is rare that they break down.
These things are being pushed to the limits and 9 times out of ten when they
are not working it's because the operator has done something, not the
Macs.... It's probably the same thing with PCs accept that it is a lot easier
to screw up a PC's operating system than a Mac. I don't think the hardware is
inherently any better, it's the software and the operating system that makes
Mac's appear more reliable.
