If that's active pixels, it's only 25% more than the S version. I
wonder if you'd actually notice that 25%?
An honest question, as I don't know.
I do know, however, that with computer (CPU) speeds, in order to make
a significant step-function change large enough for most operations to
be noticeably faster, a mere 25% won't begin to do it, and sometimes
it takes a doubling to be noticeable in everyday operations...

So, if it turns out to be significantly more expensive than the S,
with the pixel count of the CCD being the only difference, it would
make me hesitate a bit...

We'll just have to see! 

It's going to be nice to have a choiice, tho', isn't it! <grin>  It's
been a while.
