I don't own a black screwmount camera. I think one would be nice to have.
I tend to keep my eyes peeled for them wherever I go. But...

I don't think I could handle a LIKE NEW condition camera too well. I often
carry a couple of cameras and forego a large bag to carry them in.
Therefore they usually rattle amongst each other when finished. I see my
cameras as tools not jewels. Not that I go out of my way to abuse them, it
is just that I don't treat them with kid gloves - unless I am handling
someone else's.

Case in point, the Outdoor Life Network aired a show about last year's Gulf
Coast Triathlon. Towards the end as they were showing people coming across
the finish line, there was one who went down to his knees. No one came
forward to help him. I was shooting around there - I am one of those
responsible for the event - and you can see me coming to his aid with a
camera over each shoulder swinging away. I have gotten doused doing this
with both sweat and water.

I was not using screwmount gear at the time - Pentax MZ-S and LX. Never had
a problem with either camera taking a 'bath'. Hmmm, maybe this year I
should bring the screwmount gear out to the event... though for insurance
purposes I will be doing a lot of videotaping during the event.

-- For me it would be a Black SL, with the factory
