I know I've mentioned it before, but I have and love a black SP, with (AFAIK) a factory installed split screen. It's currently not working (meter pooched, and the slow shutter speeds are way off), so it needs at least a CLA and new meter.
And, it's a beater, but I love the brassing! I haven't taken a pic with it in a couple of years, but it does my heart good to look at it once in a while, it's just so pretty (brass, dents and all). What m42 do I lust after? I'd say a black SPII, like JCO, with a split screen (I find them much easier to focus with than the micro-prism). And, Andre, you're right, the "fingernail flip" MLU is actually quite easy to master (I'm the lowest common denominator - if I can do it...). Works on all my Spots, and the MX as well. cheers, frank Andre Langevin wrote: > >It would be a black Spotmatic II with factory installed MLU. > >Steve Larson > >Redondo Beach, California > > > > > >J.
