My favourite printer is only one that I have: an Epson Stylus Photo EX. The prints are still outstanding even in this day and age (only came out in 1998, but it sounds like I'm talking about 1978, eh ;-)
I am probably less than a year away from buying a Canon. I was leaning towards the S9000 (5 col A3) but a review of the i950 (5 col A4) in this week's Amateur Photographer has made me think twice. No A3 version yet, but the resolution is apparently much better, and about as good as inkjet is going to get. The Epson will probably be then set up with mono inks and used exclusively for B+W prints.
