I understand the 1/4 plate (4X5) and original 8X10 plate beginnings but what is the source of the 5X7? And while we're at it... how did the 2 1/4 X 2 3/4 or 3 1/4 all evolve?
Cliff Klaven's little known fact: The term 10X8 began with a dyslexic professor in London, circa 1882. He went on to become a blues guitar player and sold his sole to Santa. -----Original Message----- Date: Tue 02/18/03 12:02 PM From: Peter Alling <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] CC: Subject: Re: 35mm frame, so why 10X8?
