It's a "common problem" with ~all~ ZX-5n's, because it's an intended
design "feature". I don't know how many other autofocus bodies do
this, but it's a point-and-shoot-style "feature" that causes the
film to be automatically rewound when the last frame is shot, ready
or not. It can be embarrassing (and can be impolitely disruptive)
when it happens at any occasion where quiet is desired.

I much prefer having the choice of when to rewind (or to not rewind
at all, until later), as is provided on all of the manual focus
bodies I've ever used. Or, I prefer the design of the
SF1/SFX/SF1n/SFXn (whew!), where the film cannot be rewound
manually, but at least ~I~ can decide when I want it to be rewound
by built-in motor. But with my wife's ZX-5n (and this is my only
real gripe with the ZX-5n), when frame 24 (or 36) has been shot,
it's "whirrr-whirrr-whirrr...", like it or not...
