Though the Canon 10MP is to sell for about 8K, the Kodak 14N (nikon mount, 14MP) will have a street price of about $4K. It will soon be followed by a 14C (canon mount) at the same price. Canon should get out of the chip business.
Pentax should buy in as a *first step* into digital.
They should put the Fuji sensor into the 645 as well.
