Though the Canon 10MP is to sell for about 8K, the Kodak 14N (nikon mount, 14MP) will have a street price of about $4K. It will soon be followed by a 14C (canon mount) at the same price. Canon should get out of the chip business.
This sounds all wrong.
The Canon 1Ds (11MP) is $8k and is available now- I own one. A Dxxx will be much cheaper.
My Kodak contact says there's nothing happening with Canon, and he works on the 14n line.
