The want cameras that look like what they think cameras should look like. The *ist-D looks familiar. If the camera is competent, and Pentax actually markets it (this is the million dollar question), then it will do fine. I just looked, and yes, the *ist-D looks like the F80, in that they both look like cameras. Beyond that, they don't look overly similar. Did you bitch that the LX looked like the F3 because they both had their major controls in identical placement? William Robb
