> In the March 2003 edition of Popular Photography on page 15 "Your > Best Shot" an Honorable Mention was given to a photograph shot > with a Pentax K1000. The lens, as stated is a "135mm f2.5 Pentax > Takumar." Could it possibly be my beloved 135 Takumar (Bayonete) > lens? (forgive me since I don't know all the various guises of > 135 M42 lenses or how they would be credited in a caption.).
Well, there have been a screwmount Super Takumar 135/2.5, a Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 135/2.5, and a K-mount Takumar Bayonet 135/2.5. Which one it is is not clear from the "135mm f2.5 Pentax Takumar" caption. Since the body was a K1000, it could have been one of the screwmounts on an M42-to-K adapter, but I personally think that the budget Takumar Bayonet on the budget K1000 would be more likely (and I do not mean to be disparaging by the use of the term "budget" here).
