Paul, I have the Pentax 5-11X loupe. I can't see the entire slide at 5X, I think because my glasses keep my eye too far from the eyepiece. While there's some distortion at the long end, it is still great for checking sharpness on the lightbox. I use a 50mm lens for general viewing. I watch ebay for a replacement to that.
