Malcolm wondered:
> What percentage of film do you use in B&W?
Of 815 rolls shot between 1997 and today:
(69%) 559 rolls of C41;
(20%) 163 rolls of real BW (23 of them IR (Kodak HIE));
(8%) 65 rolls of E6 (6 of them false-colour IR (Kodak EIR));
(2%) 15 rolls of Kodachrome;
(1%) 9 rolls of SFW (most recent being in 1999);
(0.5%) 4 rolls of C41 BW (most recent being in 2000).
(Adds up to 100.5% due to rounding. Don't worry about it.)
Someday I'll tweak my spreadsheet so that it'll automagically
plot usage trends for me so I can see at a glance how the
ratios change over time, but I'm not going to do that this
morning.
I keep meaning to shoot more slides, but slide film seems so
expensive ... and I'm often in situations where I really want
800 speed or faster, and the high speed (ok, _pushable_) slide
films are even more expensive than the daytime speeds.
I think I've been shooting more BW lately than I used to, but
haven't sifted the numbers to check.
