I wouldn't be happy with their strange user interfaces. And if I'd switch, I would miss the lovely character of Pentax optics. Pentax has stayed in business for long and they have a loyal following, there's reasons for this. I understand that the *ist D may appeal more to Z-1/PZ-1 users than MZ-S shooters, but I'm sure that we'll see more high-end bodies from Pentax in the digital field. Perhaps even with sealed magnesium alloy... The problem is that this camera hasn't been announced yet and I believe that this is the reason for the dissatisfaction from some loyal Pentax users. I'm sure that it will come. The *ist D is just the first step. Pentax are working on big things. (in terms of performance and power, not size :-) ).
