Nobody expects a 300(600)/2.8 to be either small or light. The Olympus
will not be considered a competitor to Pentax's DSLR. Working pros, who
would never seriously consider the Pentax, will buy the Olympus because
it is smaller and lighter than the Nikon/Canon alternatives. Olympus has
already established itself as quality, digital camera supplier. Olympus
started to crack the pro market with the OM series 30 years ago. They
could pull it off this time with a similar approach. What hurt them last
time was their reliability, and this time they started off with
magnesium & weather sealing.
