As far as I know, Pentax in the USA has nothing else in common with the "real" Pentax (in Japan) than the name. They are just a US company importing Pentax products. I can also imagine the amount of queries they receive daily about rumored and new products of which the details have not been fully fixed or given. It would propably take them a couple of full-time people to start answering all queries in detail, at least when new products have been announced. Besides, Pentax (in Japan) has never given more information about new products to their suppliers than they give directly to the customers (in their web-site).
This is more or less the standard procedure with all the big companies I have come accross in the photo or in the electronic (component)/computers arenas. Regarding that icon, it has been already discussed here down to the root. The same symbol can be found on many digital cameras and it symbolizes the white balance. Let's allow the engineers at Pentax (Japan) finish the product first and provide us the full specs...
