Bob,
I didn't want to offend anyone. Nor to demean or show anyone's
infe/superiority. I respect people
on this list. But still reserve my right to have a different opinion. Which
I express here. Permission
to distribute or use, for any purpose whatsoever, granted.

I have seen the original page. I have been on Boz's site hundreds of
times -- he did
a fantastic job compiling the specs. Which cannot be copyrighted, pictures,
which can,
and putting it all in nice HTML which I have no idea whether it can be
copyrighted or not.
Hopefully it can't.

No offense taken.
My reaction is a result of seeing way too much BS tied to "intellectual
property"
lately (including, but not limited to "requiring explicit permission to link
to a site" --
IIRC from McKinsey website http://www.mckinsey.com/terms.asp ),
And as far as cultural differences go, the copyright
laws are, in fact, different in different countries. Moreover, in BIGGER
part of the world,
there're none. USA stands out as the contry with truly absurd copyright laws
(I live in
USA, in Boston, and work as a software enginier, before that I had a
research position,
so I do know what I am talking about).

That's up to us, isn't it? :)

Hope you had Jed Babbit permission to use this quote... Which, btw,
may be offensive for French readers, don't you think? This is a friendly
place, after all.
