True. The new FAJ 18-35mm uses a 67mm filter while the
FA 20-35mm uses a 58mm filter. Mind you the extra wide
angle may have something to do with it, but Pentax
have been making very small, light lenses for a long
time, and often the smallest in their class (except
for some of the FA* lenses like the 80-200mm & 600mm
f4).
