Not most! Usually only models that have "Dummy" auto modes have date in the picture printing. It's a low to mid-range, Gadget Freak frill.
I meant "most" because it exist more models with optional databacks than models that can't be fitted with a data back. Only the semipro and pro models lacks a data back. As you say - low to mid-range bodies has databacks as an option. And there's more low to mid range bodies than pro and semi pro models on the market.
