It seems that reflections off glass or some such are going to happen
no matter which way you have the PF setting.  I think a better way to
think about it is that the popup will not contribute significantly to
the illumination.  Remember that the wireless system is using light
from the flash to communicate, so the flash is firing, just not at
full strength.  For most subjects, the reflection of light from the
popup is not going to be material.  One thing you could try is to
cover the popup with red cellophane (couple of layers) to weaken the
flash even further or put a deflector in front of it to put the light
upwards.

Anyway, I have a feeling that the body is behaving correctly.  The
popup has to fire to tell the others to fire and then it has to fire
again to tell the others to stop firing.  The PF switch would just
alter the intensity of the popup, not eliminate it.
