I said nothing about their lens barrels (try reading the words in front of you), which are aluminum alloy. I said something can be steel (as in stainless) and not have a magnet stick to it. A magnet is not a definitive test for all steels.

The most common types of stainless steel are not magnetic. This is true
for the Pentax lens mounts.
