I don't agree. The reason I use Pentaxes is they make very nice, small
no-nonsense camera (among others, that is). That's why I use a MX and a
MZ-S. You say that the MZ-S doesn't compare to its rivals (EOS 3 or F100),
but then again one might say that there is no other camera like the MZ-S on
the market. Small, solid, well-built, offering data imprinting, fully
compatibile with old manual lenses.

I, for one, didn't have any substantial investment in Pentax gear when I
bought my MZ-S. All I had then was a MX, a M 50/1.7, a M 28/2.8, a M
135/3.5, and a VS1 70-210. It would've been fairly easy for me to change
systems, but I decided to stick with Pentax. For me the MZ-S is an AF
equivalent of a Leica rangefinder, and that's what I was after.
