I suspect you're still in the denial phase. You know, when something bad happens to you, like getting fired or cutting off your fingers, you may go through this:

It's still photography! "Light" is still "written" in such a way that you get a stable image of an object.

I understand from your arguments that you don't like the easiness asociated with the new peocess.
