Yeah - but the current electronic shutters are incredibly durable. Perhaps it is in order to quote the Chasseur d�Images August/September 2000 test again: Canon EOS 300 - 180186 cycles Minolta 404 si - 249185 cycles Nikon F 60 - 64633 cycles Pentax MZ-30 - 145305 cycles And in the Nikon it was not the shutter that gave up, it was the aperture closing mechanism. But it still tells us that professional quality does not extend to Nikon consumer products. So let�s wait for what Tom can do. All the best!
