There are places on this earth where even this discussion of photography is viewed as threatening to a particular world view. To participate and promote even this open discussion is an extrapolation from the freedoms that the "West" has created, unlike any other in history. Even with the very evident flaws (both systematic and personal) the expansion of freedom continues.
