REPLY: Exactly. This is what Pentax sources tells me too. The *istD, like entry level film slr's, will mostly be bought by people who start at scratch. For the majority of buyers backwards compatibility is a non-issue. Foreward compatibility is an issue. Regrettable as this may be, it is the realities of the marketplace. P�l
