When I had to replace my printer, I found a store and salesman who allowed me to bring in a file of my own and then print it on 3 different printers in the store. I figured that the in-store manufacturers prints would be optimized for colour and detail for each particular printer and I wanted to see how MY pictures would look. I wound up with the HP5550, which hadn't even been on my original list of possibilities. This was back in August 2002.
