You have to visit them and see what you think. I am the member of one very large (for a Norwegian club) having enough resources to invite known and interesting lecturers. Mostly photographers of course, but also painters, designers etc. Very few members, however, dare to discuss the photos in such crowds. So I'm also a member of a very small group (~10 members) where everybody know each other sufficiently to speak their minds openly (we've been doing it for 15 years).
