I don't have my copy of Wilhelm's book in front of me, I am afraid it is
packed away, probably right beside the focussing screen I promised to send
to Dr. Williams when I get moved back into my house.
Not that I put a lot of faith in Wilhelm's methods, but it is the best we
have.

Anyway, I would think that properly processed (no mean feat on it's own) and
stored (easy) Gold or Superia negaitves should last many decades.
The problem I am seeing with older negatives isn't with visible fading, it's
with dye incompatabilities between the older materials and the new.
The film looks fine, but we still can't get it quite right.

You earned that 1/3 back just for asking this question.<G>.
