The discussion was about my K1000's light meter being screwy at slow
shutter speeds with the ISO at a high level (eg. 1/30sec at 3200ISO, and 1/2
sec at 400 ISO, etc.). The response i was given claimed that it (A) had to do
with the range of the light meter, and that (B) it had nothing to do with the
shutter speed and film speed being on the same dial. On further inspection,
both of these cases are quite wrong.
The exact same situation occurs if the ISO is 100 and the shutter is set
to "B". It does not however occur at a "B" when the ISO is 50...but it does
if the dial is set to the blank space between "B"and 1/1000 sec.
One member said that it might be an issue with a spec of dirt on a
contact or something. This is probably accurate...but i'm not sure. Has
anyone else experienced similar complications with K1000's?
