Judging from this picture,

I'd say it definately looks as if the *istD has a mechanic 
aperture coupler. In that case, it means that the restrictions 
that applies are the same as always; no AF with pre-F lenses, no 
program modes with pre-A lenses.

Unless there's something vital I miss here, of course.
