Yep, the worn installs itself directly through Port 135 - you don't have to have any software at all running. If you have a real firewall (a hardware firewall, *not* one of those software "firewalls") you're generally safe. Most routers that do NAT seem to do the trick. Until yesterday I wouldn't have believed that any large network would allow PCs to have ports 135-139 open at all (Windows Messaging spam) but my S.O. tells me that almost every desktop at the University got infected! -- Mark Roberts Photography and writing www.robertstech.com
