Amen to that. Inkjets have an amazing ability to make the oddball pixels disappear. They are quite good at reproducing small scratches, though, in my experience. I have the same problem with the way inkjets are now reviewed. People examine them with loupes and complain about dithering, and so forth.

People blow the image up to screen resolution, which is something like a 4x6 foot image, then pick it apart for having a bunch of failings. Look at a real print at 300 or more dpi, which is more like a foot by a foot and a half sized picture and all of a sudden the problems that you saw are no longer there.
