I just noticed that the price of film scanners are dropping. I bought a Canon FS4000 for $799 USD from B&H in February of this year. I just checked and the price is now $599! I also noticed that the price of the Nikon's are dropping too, plus rebates are bigger.
Perhaps now that DSLR's are below $2000 this has something to do with it? I also hope that higher resolution scanners with better software will be coming out, like the new 6000dpi Minolta. An 8000dpi one would be good. Perhaps film scanners in the future will be able to pull more info from slides with less "noise" (better analog to digital conversion). This has been my biggest gripe against the whole film vs DSLR arguement. Peter __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
