I just thought of a better survey question to ask: How many people have never spent over $500 for a camera?
Well, I have to back out on that one. I have spent over $500 for a camera, several times...
(And how much of the camera-buying public falls under this category?)
Worded that way, I'd guess the majority of people would fall well short of that category.
