Why? Should Pentax drop the price on the MZ-S because the Rebel is cheaper? Let me put it this way, Cotty, if I had the money to buy a DSLR (and I do not merely mean if I could afford it, I mean if I could come up with the money at all) I would buy the istD. If I had all the money in the world, I would buy the 1DS, but short of that, I think the istD is best DSLR I have handled. If you need image stablization, or your customers are going to be impressed by a big camera, get a Canon 10D or up, but short of that the istD wins hands down. You can not believe how nice it is until you handle it, and the viewfinder is an order of magnitude better than Canon's postage stamp looking one.
